Celin, of course. Red, blue, crystal ball.
What is a trait your OC has that those around them don't see very often? Is it seen by a rare few or completely overlooked?
I think she gets mistaken for being endlessly patient, because she tries really hard to keep her own needs and feelings in and be "easy" for those around her. Even in D&D-verse people are like "well Celin loves everybody" and like...she does TRY to, but yeah people don't tend to see her own irritation/frustration/anger because she bottles that shit up. She will keep it all right here [points to chest] and then one day she'll die.
How would your OC spend a single day of interrupted peace? Where would they go or who would they be with?
I think she'd want to spend it with all of her family in one place (including Alasdair and Nico). Maybe spending the day outside if the weather's nice, go for a ride, have a picnic, etc. Just have a day where everyone's getting along (looking at you, Kai) and happy and not in danger.
What kind of future does your OC want to have? What would they do to make it real?
I answered that a little bit above. She wants a future where the people she loves are safe and accepted and at peace, and where she has enough power to protect them. And she's been kind of bending herself into various rigid shapes for most of her life to try to make that a thing. It's why she's such a perfectionist, why she wanted to be a knight, and why she took the path she did at the end of book 1. And in book 2 that gets challenged a lot and she goes to some pretty dark places to try to cling to that need to keep her loved ones safe. She definitely has an issue where it's not only the future she wants but she sees it as HER responsibility specifically to bring about.

I'm Celin, then, and while I'd love to have a horse and hang out with Celin's family and Alasdair and Nico, I am really absolutely very much not cut out for trying to stop a war from happening. I know for 500% fact I would crumble under that kind of pressure.
you are personally and directly hit by a bus¹ and isekai-ed, via resurrection, into the body of the main character your most recent WIP
reblog and tell me: on a scale of 1–10, how screwed are you right now?
¹ this is, transparently, a plot device, so if you are about to tell me "joke's on you, I never leave my fifteenth floor apartment!" then you may rest assured it will have tremendous comedic value when the bus is launched into the sky and crashes through your apartment wall to flatten you anyway

Celin is going through it in book 2. Although I'd say this mood still occurs sometimes in book 1.
#ch: celin belewyn#time's sacrifice trilogy#meg i almost said 'oh albert trauma we're really in it now' and then went 'no that's not the right book'

I can't tell what the shooting star one is but I think it might be comet so: Who is your most self destructive character? Why are they like that?
It's a tie between Zane (no current WIP) and Celin probably. Zane is very reckless and constantly getting himself in trouble for a number of reasons but partly because he's learned that the best way to get attention is to cause a scene. So he'll do dangerous shit to stand out and end up endangering himself. Celin is more careful and deliberate than Zane, but her Wisdom also requires her to hurt herself in order to help others. And she does want so, so badly to help everyone she can.
What is the character development like for your characters? So they change a lot or not much at all?
I usually like to play with the lie they believe. For instance, in Changeling WIP, Rhys struggles with constantly feeling unwanted and not feeling like he's enough. This is compounded when he learns that he is a changeling. One of the things that I want to play with is give him a situation where he is VERY MUCH wanted, but in all the wrong ways. I like to play with that in development, too. Showing characters a version of what they want but not the way they want it (Celin went through something similar in Wounds). And of course, his family, his brother especially - DOES love him, and part of his development is being able to recognize that.
It's very fun to me how one flaw that came up a lot in Wounds was Celin's indecisiveness, her fear of making a decision especially when it could impact other people. Over the course of the story, she learned to stick to her decisions with more confidence, and now in The Sequel, one of the things she struggles with is actually being a little too controlling (with good intentions; she feels like she's trying to do the things so the people around her don't have to, but obv it's still a flaw).
Do any of your character have to hide a part of themselves? Why?
That's a HUGE part of Celin as a character. Throughout Wounds, as she goes into court, she's so afraid of doing something wrong that would come back to her family or of exposing her grandmother. She also hides her anger, hides her pain, hides her capacity to be "a terror." She is an extreme people pleaser and she's very careful about the sides of herself that she shows anyone.
Space related asks!

📙, 📀, and 🌳 for Nico! 🍒 for Celin because I need to know she has expectations. ;P I can't find the spelling of our drow would-be assassin's name to save my life, but 🔥 and 🌹 for her!!
Nico:
What kind of subjects (of conversation, of discussion, in school or whatever) does your OC find interesting or engaging or that they can talk for hours about? What kind of stuff do they just find fun?
Nico's not a "talks for hours" person about almost anything in most cases, but I think if you say something wrong with your whole chest that he knows a lot about, it tends to open the floodgates. He can't let that lie. So things like fighting styles in actual fights, not just training. Also the ocean. He grew up surrounded by it and in Artrus, like there's still ocean but with the boundary wall you only got so much of it.
How easy is it to shock your OC? To confuse them? To lie to them, to manipulate them? How are they with feelings of trust? Can your OC be trusted?
Nico is not very trusting at all. In fact, I think right now he trusts two people. He's used to getting a lot of shit for being Dren Ruan or being seen as untrustworthy. He's used to people thinking he's going to stab them in the back - or worse, stab Alasdair in the back - even though he's actually been really fucking trustworthy there. So it takes a while for him to fully trust and thus he's hard to lie to or manipulate, because the expectations aren't high. It is probably easier to confuse him than it is to shock him. It's fairly easy to confuse, but he doesn't get caught off guard easily.
Compare your OC to themself from 10 years ago. How has their mental state changed since then, how have they aged and grown up? Would they say they’re in a better place than they were back then or do they need help? What advice would they give their younger self? What advice would their younger self give to them now?
Ten years ago, Nico had a good relationship with his family and was kind of seen as special by his community for being "gifted." He was poor and lived in a place where the living situations could have been better, surrounded by love. He also hadn't had any visions about Alasdair yet. So basically all the shit that made him who you see in the book hadn't happened yet. Also, he hadn't had the "oh actually I think I'm a boy" realization yet. I think he wouldn't give any advice to his younger self, because while parts of it has sucked he doesn't really regret where he ended up. I think his younger self would be like "you need to make up with our parents!" tho.
Celin:
What kind of things do they expect from their relationships? Does this differ between platonic relationships and romantic ones? Is your OC “demanding” or a door mat? What kinds of things do people expect from them in a relationship?
LOL we know Celin is a doormat. But she's working on it. Learning and growing from book one. I think in either close friendships or romantic relationships, the thing she hopes for is just mutual support. Helping each other become the best versions of themselves. And loyalty is a big one. Not necessarily monogamy because...I mean, you've read book one. But Celin is such a loyal person that I think disloyalty would be hard to move past (though you know she'd try).
Vierlu:
Oooooh, did not expect questions for Vierlu. This is fun, lemme make these up as I go.
Give us a list of general likes and dislikes, such as colours, textures, music, weather and other stuff!
I think Vierlu likes warm colors, like a good wine red or m but also kinda warm browns and earth tones. She likes kinda smooth, soothing music. She listens to music to unwind more than to pump herself up, so I think maybe like smooth jazz. Like most drow, she's not a big fan of hot, sunny days, although she's more used to them being from Whunia. She loves rain pattering on the windows, though she doesn't like to be in it. I think she likes the smell, though. She likes the feel of worn leather, old books, kind of weathered, "well loved" things, of which she has a lot. Hates mushy or squishy sort of textures.
How easy is it for them to connect with others and make friends? On the flip side how easy is it for them to make an enemy of someone? Are they the kind of person who hangs around the food table at a party and never talks to anyone or are they the type who can talk to anyone?
Ideally, she doesn't do much of either. Attachments are hard when she can't really talk about work, so though she might have casual friends or flings, she doesn't go beyond them much. And if she's making enemies, she's not doing her job very well which...she does on occasion actually do well despite rolling horribly in game. 😂 I think she's probably the kind of person at a party who moves around, sees what's going on and might be in the crowd somewhere, but she probably mostly talks to the people she already knows.

Made Celin and Theo BG3 guardians for their respective love interests and tbh they look amazing.
Close up on Celin's face bc I love it:
#ch: celin belewyn#ch: theo belewyn#theo looks like the big buff lesbian she aspires to be#but this is pretty close to the two of them in book 2 aside from the fact that neither of them look like teenagers here
